Adobe Flash Player for Linux SWF Processing Vulnerability

  • Adobe Flash Player for Linux version 9.0.151.0 and prior

Overview

A vulnerability has been reported in Adobe Flash Player Linux Version, which could allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on the affected system with the privilege of logged in user.

Description

This vulnerability in Adobe Flash Player is caused due to an error when processing SWF files and can be exploited by remote attackers to execute arbitrary code an the affected system.

The vulnerability can be exploited by enticing the users to open a specially crafted SWF file. The SWF file will execute arbitrary code on the target system. The code will run with the privileges of the target user.

Adobe Flash Player 9.x for Linux:
Update to latest version 9.0.152.0.
