Overview
A vulnerability has been reported in Microsoft windows 2008 cluster service, which could allow local user to gain additional privileges on target system.
Description
A vulnerability has been reported in Microsoft windows 2008 cluster service which is caused due to the error in the way the Failover Cluster Manager user interface handles permissions on shared cluster disks. When an administrator adds a disk to a shared cluster, the Failover Cluster Manager sets permissions on the shared cluster disk in a way that provides any user with full privileges on the administrative shares on the failover cluster disk.
