Overview
A vulnerability has been reported in Client/Server Run-time Subsystem (CSRSS) in Microsoft Windows, which could allow an attacker to gain elevated privileges.
Description
This vulnerability is caused due to improper verification of permissions in Csrsrv.dll in the Client/Server Run-time Subsystem in Microsoft Windows when sending inter-process device-event messages from low-integrity processes to high-integrity processes. An attacker with valid logon credentials could exploit this vulnerability via a specially crafted application. Successful exploitation of these vulnerability could allow an attacker to gain elevated privileges.
