Overview
A vulnerability has been reported in Microsoft IIS (Internet Information Services) which could allow a remote attacker to bypass the "IP and domain restriction" filtering list to access the web service.
Description
The vulnerability exists due to improper validation of web requests by the IP and domain restrictions feature in the IP Security subcomponent of IIS. To exploit this vulnerability a remote attacker would need to have control of their reverse DNS information or be able to poison the authoritative DNS of the IIS server in order to provide a domain name.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability could allow the attacker to access restricted web resources set by the system administrator.
