Overview
An information disclosure vulnerability has been reported in Synaptics Touchpad driver which could allow an attacker to access sensitive information on the target system.
Description
This vulnerability exists in Synaptics Touchpad driver (SynTP.sys) due to improper handling of keyboard driver by the affected system. There is a keylogger in the keyboard driver, which could scan codes to a WPP trace. The logging was disabled by default.
An attacker with local administrative rights could exploit this vulnerability by enabling this feature, thereby gain access to sensitive information such as user credentials.
