Overview
A vulnerability has been reported in Microsoft Internet Explorer that could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on a targeted system.
Description
This vulnerability exists in Microsoft Internet Explorer due to improper handling of objects in memory by the VBscript engine. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by hosting a specially crafted website that is designed to exploit the vulnerability through Internet Explorer and then convince a user to visit the website. The vulnerability can also be exploited via crafted Microsoft Office files, compromised websites and websites which accept or host user-provided content or advertisements.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability could allow the attacker to execute arbitrary code in the context of the current user.
