Privilege Escalation Vulnerability in NetScaler Console and NetScaler Agent

  • NetScaler Console & NetScaler Agent 14.1 versions prior to 14.1-38.53
  • NetScaler Console & NetScaler Agent 13.1 versions prior to 13.1-56.18

Overview

A Vulnerability has been reported in NetScaler Console and NetScaler Agent which could allow an authenticated local attacker to escalate privileges on the targeted system.

Target Audience:
All organizations and individuals using NetScaler Console and NetScaler Agent products.

Impact Assessment:
Unauthorized command execution, potentially compromising system integrity.

Description

Citrix NetScaler is a tool for application delivery, security, and optimization. It helps organizations ensure that their applications are available, secure, and performing optimally.

This Vulnerability exists in NetScaler Console and NetScaler Agent due to improper privilege management. An authenticated local attacker could exploit this vulnerability by executing commands without additional authorization.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability could allow the attacker to gain elevated privileges on the targeted system.
