Directory Traversal and File Upload Vulnerability in Check Point Products

Overview

A directory traversal and file upload vulnerability has been reported in Check Point Security Management Server and related products, which could allow an unauthenticated attacker to upload and execute arbitrary scripts on the targeted system.

Target Audience:
All organizations and individuals using the affected Check Point products.

Risk Assessment:
High risk of unauthorized access and arbitrary script execution on the affected Management Server.

Impact Assessment:
Potential for execute malicious scripts and compromise of affected systems.

Description

Check Point Security Management Server, Multi-Domain Security Management Server, Log Server, Multi-Domain Log Server and SmartEvent provide centralized management and security event management capabilities for Check Point security deployments.

These vulnerabilities exist in Check Point products due to directory traversal and file upload weaknesses. A remote attacker could exploit these vulnerabilities by sending a specially crafted request to the targeted system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability could allow an unauthenticated attacker to execute arbitrary scripts on the targeted system.

NOTE: CVE-2026-93616 is being actively exploited in the wild. Users are strongly advised to apply the latest patches immediately.
