Overview

Multiple vulnerabilities have been reported in SolarWinds products which could allow a remote unauthenticated attacker to execute arbitrary code on the targeted system.

Target Audience:
All organizations and individuals using SolarWinds products.

Risk Assessment:
Risk of arbitrary code execution.

Impact Assessment:
Potential for complete system compromise.

Description

SolarWinds offers a comprehensive range of solutions spanning both IT Operations Management for system performance and Cybersecurity for identity and access control.

Multiple vulnerabilities exist in SolarWinds Observability and Access Rights Manager due to use of a hardcoded static cryptographic key, insufficient verification of data authenticity, and insecure deserialization of untrusted data. An attacker could exploit these vulnerabilities by sending specially crafted requests.

Successful exploitation of these vulnerabilities could allow a remote unauthenticated attacker to execute arbitrary code on the targeted system.
