Elevation on Privilege Vulnerability in Microsoft Windows

Systems Affected

  • Windows 11: Version 26H1 for ARM64, x64 based Systems

Overview

A vulnerability exists in Windows 11 which could allow a local attacker to elevate privileges on the affected system.

Target Audience:
All organizations and individuals using affected Microsoft Windows Operating system.

Risk Assessment:
High risk of privilege escalation and exploitation on affected Windows systems.

Impact Assessment:
High impact on Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability of the system.

Description

An elevation of privilege vulnerability exists in Windows Microsoft Operating Systems due to improper Memory management. A local attacker could exploit this vulnerability in the Secure Kernel to obtain elevated privileges.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability could allow the attacker to elevate privileges and exploit the affected systems.
