DLL Sideloading Vulnerability in Siemens Software Center

  • Siemens Software Center versions prior to V4.0.9.8

Overview

A vulnerability has been reported in Siemens Software Center which could allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code on the targeted system.

Target Audience:
All organizations and individuals using Siemens Software Center.

Risk Assessment:
High risk of arbitrary code execution.

Impact Assessment:
Potential for execute arbitrary code and compromise of affected systems.

Description

Siemens Software Center is a software management tool.

This vulnerability exists in Siemens Software Center due to uncontrolled search path element. A remote attacker could exploit these vulnerabilities by persuading a victim to open a malicious file.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability could allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code on the targeted system.

Note: This vulnerability (CVE-2026-110936) is being actively exploited in the wild. Users are strongly advised to apply the latest patches immediately.

Solution

Update Siemens Software Center to version 4.0.9.8 or later.
